Ha Giang & Cat Ba: The Perfect Mix of Adventure, Culture & Nature

07:30: Picking up from the hotel in Hanoi Old Quarter area (If you book the bus with us)

and departing for Cat Ba island. On the way, we will make some stops for a short break. Transferred by a ferry from Hai Phong city to Cat Ba island and keep going to the Ben Beo Pier

11:30 : We will arrive at Ben Beo pier in Cat Ba island. The pier for fishman and tourist boats to visit the Lan Ha Bay, just 2km from the town.

12:00-12:30 : We will pick you up at Ben Beo harbor and transfer by fast canoe to our lovely homestay in Viet Hai village. The Village is on Cat Ba island, around 10 kilometers away from Cat Ba town. its position in the midst of Cat Ba’s jungle, meaning that it’s surrounded by lush forests, mountains and picturesque scenery.

Afternoon : Following our tour guide you will do trekking and hiking in Navi Peak to see the overview of Cat Ba national park.If we have time we can climb to the top of the mountain for a panoramic view of Lan Ha bay, Halong bay and Cat Ba national park.

18:30: Enjoy local dinner at our restaurant.

After that, Our tour guide will take you on a night-time kayak on Lan Ha Bay to see Bioluminescent plankton sparkling and the local village activities at night.

08:30 Our golf car will pick you up from Viet Hai village to Viet Hai harbor, welcome aboard.

Boarding the Boat to Lan Ha bay, At first the boat was sailing around Lan Ha Bay. The bay itself is spectacular, with towers of limestone rocks rising from the sea, passing by Cai Beo Fishing Village which is the most traditional fishing village in the north of Vietnam. It is also one of the biggest floating villages in Cat Ba and continues sailing to thousands of karst towers with many unique shapes (chopsticks and seals).

10:30 Discover lagoon natural area belonging to Lan Ha bay by Kayaking through Dark and Bright Caves, tunnels, and archways. This is the conservation area and if you are lucky you will see Cat Ba langurs (Golden headed monkey)

12:30 Boat drops the anchor at Ong Cam islet for sumptuous traditional

Enjoy Vietnamese local food and vegetarian lunch, while cruising in the magnificent Halong Bay, admiring the fascinating rock formations in the bay.

13:30 Afterwards, the boat continues to sail off Southern Ha Long bay, passing by Dau Be Island, Vung Vieng fishing village, Le Virgin arch and The Kite arch.

14: 30 Kayaking, Swim and Relax at Ba Trai Dao Beach which is very natural, remote, quiet and less-touristy, discover the temple beach, more lagoons and arches by kayak

15:30 Enjoy the magical sunset as the boat travels back to the harbor

16:00 The bus will pick you up to go back Hanoi

19:30 Arrive in Hanoi and get dropped off at the bus office. You can leave your luggage at the bus office and explore the Old Quarter

21:00: Go back to the bus office for the pick-up to Ha Giang

04:00: Arrive in Ha Giang City. Check in to your hostel and rest for a few hours.

09:00: After breakfast at the hostel, meet your guide and start your journey on the loop. The Bac Sun Pass and Quan Ba Heaven Gate offer stunning landscapes.

Marvel at the Quan Ba Twin Mountains and pass through the Can Ty Pass, surrounded by picturesque hills and mountains.

12:00: Have lunch in Yen Minh Town.

13:00: Continue through Tham Ma Pass and Dong Van Karst Plateau. Visit the Hmong King’s Palace, known for its grand architecture and fascinating history.

18:00: Arrive in Dong Van. Enjoy a local Vietnamese dinner and live music. Spend the evening exploring the ancient town.

Overnight at a 1-star hotel in Dong Van town.

09:00: After breakfast, head to the Sky Pass, offering breathtaking views. Ride through Ma Pi Leng Pass, one of Vietnam’s most beautiful passes.

Visit Hmong villages and enjoy a boat ride on the Nho Que River for a lifetime experience.

12:00: Lunch break in Meo Vac, Mau Due, or Lung Ho Village.

14:00: Drive through the mountainous area to Du Gia village. Enjoy magnificent views from Sa Li Pass and Lung Ho Viewpoint.

16:00: Check into a homestay in the Tay ethnic village. Experience the local way of life and have a family dinner.

Overnight at the homestay, surrounded by green rice fields.

09:00: After breakfast with mountain views, relax and swim at Du Gia Waterfall. Visit Lung Tam Village, known for its hemp weaving.

13:00: Have lunch at a local restaurant and head back to Ha Giang.

17:00: Arrive in Ha Giang. Enjoy dinner on your own and prepare for the return journey.

17:00 or 21:00: Board the sleeper bus for the return to Hanoi. Overnight on the bus.
